Under the general direction of the Director, Housing & Lodges, the incumbent provides leadership and direction to maintenance staff for The Bethany Group, Lacombe Foundation & Parkland Foundation management, while implementing Facility Services strategies and programs. Manages and coordinates renovation and construction projects inclusive of Capital Maintenance requests for The Bethany Group, Parkland Foundation and Lacombe Foundation.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
(Education; Experience/Training; Knowledge; Licenses/Certificates; Membership Requirements)
- Journeyman Trade or Technical Diploma certification
- Must possess a valid class 5 Alberta Driver's License
- FMP (Facility Management Professional) or CFM (Certified Facility Manager) certification is considered an asset
- Minimum 5yrs maintenance management in building operations in a health care setting or similar setting
- Experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, emergency electrical systems, other mechanical systems, and fire alarm systems while following health and safety standards
- Experience in construction, renovations and project costing, including building codes and regulatory agencies

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to clearly communicate technical and operational information with management, frontline staff, clients, consultants, contractors, government agencies, and regulators
- In collaboration with the Director, Housing & Lodges and program managers, determines and prepares site budget
- Assists with the development and implementation of preventative maintenance, maintains up to date records, manufacturer manuals, diagrams and blueprints; prepares various reports or statistics as directed or required by the Director, Housing & Lodges.
- Recruitment of new hires, directs and oversees performance management of new and existing staff, and schedules and supervises multiple tasks for employees
- Attends all site level grievance meetings as a designated representative, works with Human Resources to resolve
- Oversees and provides technical advice on a variety of equipment repairs, construction and renovation duties

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
