Maintenance Service Worker I

Reporting to the Facility Services Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor, this position performs a variety of
maintenance and repair duties on various types of equipment, buildings, and grounds under the supervision of
manager/supervisor or other maintenance workers, in accordance with acceptable standards, regulations, safety,
policies and procedures. The work is defined as semi-skilled, routine, manual, becoming somewhat independent.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High School supplemented by directly related training and course work- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with clean abstract
- Equivalent Experience and education considered
- Skid Steer & Fork Lift certification preferred
- Ability to lift over 25lbs
**REQUIREMENTS:
- Works well under direction
- Must be able to operate a company fleet vehicle with trailer
- Performs routine maintenance, operations, and repairs
- Assists with renovation and structural repairs, checks resident equipment
- Performs seasonal work such as snow removal or grounds duties
- Ability to operate variety of grounds equipment; a skid steer, forklift, self-propelled lawn mower, etc.
- Maintains flower/shrub beds, grounds, walks, driveways, parking lots as required
