Wild Flour Pizza Co is a new sourdough pizza shop in North Burnaby. Our focus is serving consistent and delicious pizzas built on a house-made sourdough crust. We are a takeout/delivery primary with limited dine-in seating.

We are looking to hire full-time pizza cooks that we can mentor into shift leads in the months to come.

About Wild Flour Pizza Co

In 2018, Clay opened Scratch Kitchen in North Vancouver. He was driven by a passion to provide guests a “made from scratch” experience using only fresh local ingredients. When Steven came on board as the Head Chef in 2020, they quickly realized that they shared a passion for great quality pizzas. As Scratch Kitchen evolved and customers’ excitement for their creative approach to pizzas grew, they were inspired to create a new fast-casual concept where pizza was the sole focus. By incorporating sourdough and heritage grain elements with the playful style of pizzas served at Scratch, they aspire to build a pizza experience like no other. Wild Flour Pizza Co hopes to transform humble ingredients into fun and delicious pizzas.

About Chef Steven

Steven travelled the world gaining vast culinary experiences. He built his culinary foundation in top fine dining and Michelin-starred restaurants such as Maaemo in Oslo, Norway, and Restaurant Orana in Adelaide, Australia. In addition, he learned to love the craft of sourdough at Ille Brød in Oslo. Whether serving fine-dining meals or stretching pizzas, he believes all delicious food is the sum of simple things done well.

What We're Looking For:
We are looking for pizza cooks/customer service reps to be a part of this new and exciting pizza concept. Experience is an asset but we can teach anyone with an openness to learn, a positive attitude and can thrive in fast-paced environments. We value a positive and constructive kitchen culture where mistakes are opportunities to learn. There is a lot of room to move up in responsibility if you desire and possibly become a shift lead/opener/closer in a few months.

Job responsibilities may vary depending on your preferences/skillset but may include:

- Preparing ingredients and recipes as required
- Working clean and organized in an open kitchen concept
- Learning and executing the various steps of making the pizzas
- Ensuring great and consistent presentation before pizzas and salads are served
- Organizing completed orders and handoffs for pick-up
- Keeping a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen through daily/weekly cleaning
- Opening and closing the pizza shop by going through closing checklist
- Washing/cleaning equipment/dishes as needed
- Ensuring all food and other items are labeled and stored properly
- Greet and serve guests, and take orders when necessary
What We're Offering:

- Become a part of a new and exciting concept serving high quality sourdough pizzas
- 35-40 hours/week for full-time
- Opportunities to advance in the kitchen as a shift lead
- Starting hourly wage between $16/hr - $20/hr depending on experience
- Full tip share paid biweekly
- Extended benefits after 3 months probation
