Qualifications:

- You have a professional attitude and work at a steady pace to complete all necessary tasks and responsibilities without being asked.
- You work well as part of a team, willing to assist others when needed.
- You have the ability to maintain composure, feelings, and emotions when dealing with argumentative people or defensive situations. Your professionalism does not waver when presented with different personalities and/or situations.
- You are able to multitask while maintaining the highest level of customer service.
- You are reliable, honest, and trustworthy.
- You are adaptable and love learning new things.
- You possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- An Optometric Assistant Certification and/or a Medical Administration diploma would be an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Assist patients with selecting appropriate eyewear
- Educate patients regarding lens options available
- Take measurements for dispensing eyewear
- Perform minor frame repairs and adjustments
- Order and verify prescriptions
- Help to manage frame and product inventory
- General office duties (answer phone, tidy dispensary, greet patients)
