St. Marys Optometry needs an Optometric Assistant for our office in downtown St. Marys ON.

As an Optometric Assistant, your role will include education, sales, and service. Your responsibilities will eventually include preliminary testing, assisting with appropriate frame and lens selection, eyewear adjustments and repairs, inputting and verifying orders, and more.

All our team members cooperate in providing our patients with exceptional service while working toward our goals for growth and performance. We believe that each patient’s vision is their most precious gift and we’re honoured they trust us to look after it.
- Post-secondary education
- Previous retail experience
- Experience with technology
- Strong communication skills
- A positive personality
- A love of helping people

Previous eye care experience is an asset, but not necessary as we offer an extensive training program. We’re looking for a person committed to making every patient smile and feel valued every time they visit us—that’s what we consider most important.

Job Details:

- Full-time, permanent
- 7-8 hour on-site shifts
- 35-40 hour work week
- 1 evening of work per week

**Salary**: We offer a minimum of **$17.00 per hour** to start, depending on experience. St. Marys Optometry is committed to supporting our team members and is in the process of becoming a Certified Living Wage Employer.
