Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Security Guard to work in the evening.

**Having access to your own personal vehicle is greatly preferred as the shift ends at midnight.**

**Shifts**

*_Shifts are set up in a mandatory 2-week rotation_

Friday to Tuesday from 4 pm to midnight
- 40 hours per week
- Every weekend

**Responsibilities**:

- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Conducting regular foot patrols (approximately 45-60 minutes per patrol).
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Access control for the facility/area.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Salary**: $17.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
