**Job Overview**

**-must have a personal vehicle.**

**-must be willing to work and travel to Guelph, Cambridge and Kitchener Waterloo sites.**

**-must be able to work over 24 hours a week if needed**

**Duties**
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular inspections of premises, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
- Utilize CCTV and surveillance systems to monitor activities and detect suspicious behavior.
- Respond to alarms and incidents, providing immediate assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or breaches.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations while providing excellent customer service to visitors.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or vandalism.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in law enforcement or security is preferred.
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and strategies.
- Proficient in the use of CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, walk long distances, and respond quickly in emergencies.
- A valid security guard license may be required based on local regulations.

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 32 per week

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
