Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Security Guard to work We are looking for a dedicated **long term **employee who has their own transportation.

**( 40 )hrs) Per week**

**1 position Night Shift**

**1 Position Afternoon shift**

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct regular foot patrols that are approximately 30 minutes long per patrol.
- Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
- Monitor and control access at building entrances
- Monitor and Operate alarm systems, CCTV system video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
- Ensuring that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies.
- Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.

**Skills**:

- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
- Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
- Integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
- Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Waterloo, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Security Guard: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Security Guard Licence (required)

Shift availability:

- Overnight Shift (required)
