**Summary**:
Reporting to the Controller - Finance, provides administrative, clerical and data entry support for the Resettlement Assistance Program. Assists in the preparation and processing of accounts payable for the Resettlement Assistance Program including cheque requisitions through online payment portal, verifications, payments, and filing.

**Responsibilities**:

- Calculates necessary food cash and taxi requisitions based on information and queries in NewTrack and requests monies from Vancity.
- Assist in processing EFT payments for RAP clients.
- Prepare monthly temporary allowances distributed to clients (food cash/taxi monies/groceries/incidentals) to match with GL (General Ledger).
- Prepare monthly linens goods distributed to clients from inventory. Orders as required.
- Processes and verifies temporary accommodation charges for approval by RAP Manager
- Prepares temporary accommodation summary for each payment requisition
- Verifies correctness of documents such as invoices, receipts, bills, cheques, etc. - for completeness of supporting documents, arithmetic, approvals, etc.
- Processes payments for purchases including the printing and mailing of cheques according to established procedures. Ensures that each cheque sent for signature has valid supporting documents.
- Assists Settlement Claims Accountant to resolve accounting related issues relating to RAP
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:
Completion of post-secondary training to a minimum of accounting level 2, supplemented by at least 1-year office experience **OR** an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience acceptable to the employer.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Ability to communicate fluently in both written and oral English.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively and courteously with staff, vendors, clients, and the public who may come from differing cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Strong analytical skill and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Sage 300, all aspects of MS Office, and the ability to acquire competency in new software.
- Internet savvy, good computer skills
- Ability to set and maintain boundaries.

**Role Salary Range: $21.03 - $27.49 per hour**

**Expected Starting Range: $21.03 - $22.32. Dependent on education, training, experience, and internal equity. Wage grids are reviewed annually.**
