Halifax, Canada Sports Medicine - Orthopaedic Surgery Full time

The Sports Medicine team within the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery is seeking an energetic, motivated, and experienced individual to perform clinical research assistant activities in a dynamic and collegial environment.

This position requires you to have proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint). Knowledge of statistical software (e.g., SPSS), data management, data mining and working with large databases would be an asset. The applicant will have the following attributes:

- Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to cope in stressful situations;
- Works independently and professionally, as well as in a team environment with strong problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, and dependable with strong organizational skills.
- Prioritizes workload and has the flexibility to adjust to changing work plans, schedules and deadlines.
- Self-motivated team member with a demonstrated ability to show initiative.
- Experience with 3D printing and working with large databases is an asset.
- Perform data entry and maintain research databases which include patient demographics and surgical assessment test scores
- Assist with collecting data through chart review for colleagues/students/fellows rotating through the sports medicine fellowship program
- Function as part of a patient-focused team of professionals
- Protect and maintain participant confidentiality at all times
- Support the staff, processes, and technology to work in harmony ensuring accuracy and completeness of data quality and analysis
- Interact with a range of health professionals and support staff, through exchange of information, problem solving and training as required.

Pay: $15.20-$19.20 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
