**Supplier Quality Assurance**

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Supplier Quality Assurance’s activities are dedicated to Continuous Improvement of Guelph Manufacturing’s supply base as well as ongoing measurement and performance improvement. Spearhead measurement and development activities with supply base to ensure improvements in Quality and other performance criteria essential to ongoing supply per initiatives as outlined in Management System Development for SQA.

**YOUR DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE**:

- Participate in early involvement in Supplier selection (review of facilities, systems, methods, and the APQP process), advising the supplier of the Company’s expectations ( Supplier Manual), performance measurements, and processes to ensure timely new product introduction
- Review and disposition of Supplier PPAP timing and follow up on issues with Quality Technicians
- Review ongoing performance of Suppliers for criteria as set out and provide measurement feedback with actions to be taken for improvement
- Work within the Company’s guidelines along with Supplier and Customer guidelines when onsite
- Participate in reviews of quality issues and corresponds accordingly for actions to correct. These will be driven through Customer RMA, Supplier DMR, in-plant DRS, and RCO as well as new part introduction concerns
- Document all actions to ensure conformance to process and procedures
- Propose process improvement, enhanced quality processes, and tolerance improvements through the use of SPC data, 8D, Kaizen, and process reviews. Work with Purchasing, Engineering, and suppliers to recommend and implement changes to allow cost improvements.
- Reviews of problematic suppliers, ongoing major suppliers, and as required will be conducted on a regular basis.
- Work with peers, staff, suppliers, and customers to direct in influence activities and information required to pursue ongoing performance improvement
- Represent GMG at both Customer and Supplier sites as required*

**WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?**
- Post - Secondary education with a focus on Quality.
- Certificate in Quality Engineering ( ASQ)
- 5 - 7 years in high volume OEM manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of material testing, GD&T, and Quality principles
- Quality system assessment ( QS/TS trained) including APQP
- CAD, SPC
- Proficient in quality charting and supplier development
