- We are located in **Stony Plain, AB**. the town-this is different that Stony Plain Road in Edmonton
- You MUST have transportation to get to work as there are no bus systems in Stony Plain
- We are on average a 20-45 minute drive from Edmonton (depending your location in Edmonton)
- This position requires you to have a driver's license.

**Current Open Positions**:

- 2 on 2 off 8:00am-8:00pm (Female)
- 2 on 2 off 4:00pm-9:00pm (Female)
- 2 Female Casual that can work weekends.
- Any gender casual that can work a mixture of daytime, evening, weekday and weekends.

**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need of support. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance the quality of life for our clients by offering personalized care and support in various settings, including home care environments (community housing/ group care) and within the community. It is helpful to have background experience working with individuals with Autism. Please note; at this time we will not considered working with seniors an asset.

**Duties**
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Preparing nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Administering medication as prescribed and ensuring adherence to medication schedules.
- Supporting clients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Offering specialized care for individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in group care setting is required
- Familiarity with caregiving practices and techniques for individuals with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- A commitment to providing compassionate care while respecting client dignity and privacy.
- Basic knowledge of meal preparation and medication administration protocols

**Required Qualifications**
- High school or equivalent is required;
- Post-secondary Diploma or Degree in (Child and Youth Care, Human Services and Social Sciences, Community Disability Support Services);
- Ability to manage physical demands, such as lifting and carrying up to 50lbs, standing, sitting, walking, reaching, handling, crouching and bending;
- Class 5 Driver’s License and 2-million-dollar liability insurance is required;
- Drive Individuals (in your personal vehicle) within the community;
- First Aid & CPR is preferred

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

Pay: $19.03-$22.00 per hour
