**Support Home Supervisor (SHS)**

**Job type: Full-time**

**Compensation: $21.25 per hour**

**Shift & Schedule**
- Monday to Friday 9 Am to 5 Pm
- Additional shifts are available for pick-up outside of regularly scheduled rotation

**Location**:Parkland County and Surrounding Area (located 20 minutes outside of Edmonton)

**We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Supervisor with a strong background in supporting individuals with complex emotional and behavioral needs—such as ODD, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, hallucinations, and aggression—to join our growing team.**

**About the Role**:
As a Home Support Supervisor, you will oversee support homes and programs that enable individuals to grow their independence, improve life skills, and participate meaningfully in their community. This role emphasizes crisis support, behavioral management, and life enrichment.

**You will**:

- Lead by example as a direct support and mentor for staff and individuals in care
- Extensive experience with Emotional Challenge, including hallucinations, aggression, intense Passions, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), Schizoaffective disorder, and Bipolar disorder.
- Create a home-like, respectful environment
- Promote safety, dignity, and inclusion at all times
- Coordinate care plans, community inclusion activities, and personal growth initiatives
- Administer medications, ensure household management, and uphold safety protocols
- Support mental and physical well-being, respond to behavioral escalations, and offer de-escalation and post-incident guidance
- Oversee team meetings and documentation
- Collaborate with health professionals and community resources
- Support team members in their roles and professional growth
- Knowledge of caregiver ethics, community inclusion, trauma-informed practice, and safety standards
- Maintain a working knowledge of everyone in care and a professional relationship based on respect and dignity
- Support individuals to enhance their daily living skills through hygiene, cooking, cleaning, medication administration, fiscal management and behaviour support
- Oversee support workers, including role-modelling, coaching and discipline
- Attend meetings as required
- Help Manage the Practicum Student program and complete documentation.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma/Degree in Human Services, Health, Disability, Corrections, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with individuals with complex needs
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership/supervisory role
- Valid driver’s license, clean driver abstract, and reliable vehicle
- Clear vulnerable sector check and child intervention record check
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
