This position is responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to employees primarily based out of our Stratford, Ontario facility. This role involves executing various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with provincial labour laws. The HR Generalist will act as a key point of contact for Team Members and Managers, ensuring their needs are met while promoting a positive and productive work environment. This position requires a strong understanding of HR best practices and the ability to effectively manage HR processes and initiatives across a diverse workforce.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
As a member of our Human Resources team, your responsibilities will include:
- First point of contact for Team Members and Managers for all HR-related matters.
- Assist HR Manager with day-to-day HR responsibilities.
- Support with the recruitment and selection process for hourly and salaried (non-Manager) positions. This includes creating the job requisition based on approvals, scheduling and participating in interviews, administering pre-hire testing/assessments, and preparing and presenting offer letters and employment packages.
- Responsible for coordinating onboarding activities for new hires including working with hiring managers to establish onboarding schedules, facilitating HR orientation, and administering HR new hire training via the Learning Management System.
- Coordinate and manage the Leave of Absence (LOA) process and support with return-to-work planning.
- Conduct bi-weekly payroll audit and regular HR reporting requirements.
- Manage the Attendance Management Program
- Support with the Progressive Disciplinary Process and initiate corrective action up to and including the termination of employment and lay-offs, in accordance with applicable legislation.
- Investigate any employee concerns and act as a liaison in seeking resolution.
- Contribute to Corporate and local HR projects, programs, and initiatives, providing valuable insights and support to the broader HR team. This may include support for employee engagement initiatives, events, and organizational initiatives.
- Support with the Probationary Review process and Annual Performance Review process.
- Assist in analysis and preparation of various HR reports as required.
- Administer and support with Employee Programs including: Perfect Attendance, recognition, service anniversaries, employee reimbursements and employee uniforms.
- Perform a variety of confidential administrative tasks including workplace investigation notetaking, preparation of employee letters, and offboarding activities (i.e. Exit Interviews).
- Maintain and update Company policies, programs, and the Employee Handbook in accordance with legislated requirements and Company changes.
- Maintain a professional, respectful and employee-focused approach and support the corporate image as per the Human Resources departmental objectives and company policies.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information obtained, written or verbal, within the HR Department.
- Perform all job functions abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace.
- Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours including off-shifts as necessary.
- Within-Province travel may be required (less than 10%).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Education/Skills/Experience**:
- Degree / Diploma in Human Resources or related field or relevant work experience.
- 2 - 3 years of working experience in Human Resources, specifically relating to employee relations, leaves of absence, and policy/procedure compliance.
- Manufacturing HR experience is an asset.
- CHRP Designation is an asset.
- Previous HRIS experience (i.e. Dayforce) is an asset.
