Heavy Equipment Operator

**Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, cranes, backhoes, loaders, skid steers and farm machinery to perform various tasks including digging, grading, and building.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating parts.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Report any mechanical issues or concerns regarding equipment performance to supervisors.
- Dig pits, trenches and foundations in preparation for job site construction.
- Lift heavy loads up to 70 lbs. and navigate construction job site terrain.
- Identify utility lines.
- Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.
- Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew.
- Back-fill trenches and pits when necessary.
- Provide labour support as needed.
- Perform general maintenance of construction equipment and vehicles.
Please note, Must have G License and Must have 3-5 yrs. Experience in Landscaping Construction.

**Experience**
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
- Familiarity with operating various types of machinery including Caterpillar models is a plus.
- Experience in construction or related fields is advantageous.
- Ability to work in diverse weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments.

Pay: $20.63-$37.98 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
