Experience Required:
The job requires three years of experience in the hospitality industry either in a hotel or in pubs or restaurants of a comparable style and quality.

Job Description and Duties
Function:
Provides each customer with Imago products and services in a manner that satisfies their individual requirements. Work is performed according to Imago standards and procedures but there is latitude for and an expectation of initiative and independent judgment. While bartenders are typically responsible for the preparation and service of beverages to customers, either directly, or through servers, they often provide food service to their bar customers as well. Therefore successful performance requires cooperation with the servers and production staff.
Key Tasks:
 Prepares the bar for service, ensuring that beer taps are functional, bar liquors are in place and garnishes, juices, mixes, bar snacks, and ice are organized.
 Greets customers courteously and professionally identifies their needs and assist them with product selection. Explains any available specials, promotional offers, or events in progress.
 Records all orders in the appropriate system.
 Pours or mixes drinks carefully according to established quantities and recipes but accommodates reasonable customer requests for variation of ingredients.
 Ensures that beverages, particularly wines, are served in the correct glassware.
 Serves alcoholic beverages to customers in accordance with established standards and regulations. Takes appropriate steps when it appears that a customer has reached his or her capacity.
 Manages customer concerns or complaints courteously and professionally within the limits of his/her authority. If the matter cannot be effectively resolved, refer it to a manager for assistance.
 Receives and processes cash, cheques, and credit cards according to established procedures.

Receives and verifies deliveries of bar inventory.

 Reports for duty dressed and groomed according to Imago standards and maintains that appearance for the duration of the shift.
 Washes and stores glassware to ensure continuous availability during the shift. Ensures that the bar is clean and presentable at all times.
 Contributes to a safe work environment by acting in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Imago-specific safety regulations, reporting unsafe acts/conditions, injury or illness immediately, and bringing health and safety issues to the attention of the health and safety committee.
 Adheres to duties of workers outlined in Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
 As required, performs the following tasks:

- maintain up to date knowledge of all food items including the daily or weekly specials or special promotional items;
- assist bar customers with the selection of food items, provide bread, cutlery, and condiments, as required, and coordinate the timing and delivery of the food with the production staff;
- greet customers at the door and seat them or direct them to someone who will;
- arrange, or assist in arranging promotional displays;
- set tables, bus tables;
- assist with the training and orientation of new employees.
