**The Opportunity**
We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our team as an Accounting Analyst, Cost & Capital. Reporting to the Manager, Cost, Capital and Shared Services, this individual will bring a strong foundation in accounting, demonstrated expertise, and an aptitude for driving process improvements.

**What You Will Do**
- Execute Cost and Capital activities including but not limited to:

- Asset reconciliations
- Capital and depreciation analysis and reporting
- FTE reporting and analysis
- Coordination of cost center setup
- Monitoring and reporting against cost and capital budgets
- Assisting with forecasting depreciation
- Responsible for ensuring appropriate treatment of leases under applicable accounting standard
- Setup and monitoring of cost allocation
- Leading costs analysis reporting discussions with leaders in operations
- Liaise with relevant parties to resolve accounting issues and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Assist with other accounting and finance tasks as needed

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of progressive accounting or finance related experience
- Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent experience

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with a preference for Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Self-motivated and eager to embrace new learning opportunities and challenges
