Your Opportunity

One Permanent Full Time Position.

As Head of Cap ital Markets , you will shape Capital Power's capital structure strategy, manage multi‑year funding plans, and lead execution of capital markets transactions. You'll be a key enterprise leader engaging banks, rating agencies, and investors to maintain optimal credit positioning and cost‑competitive access to capital

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain capital structure strategy and leverage targets aligned with business objectives.
  • Design and execute a multi-year funding plan, including refinancing strategies.
  • Lead capital markets transactions across equity, debt, and hybrid instruments as well as tax equity financings and project debt.
  • Conduct M&A financing analysis, including equity and debt capacity assessments.
  • Deliver forward credit metric forecasting and perform peer benchmarking to inform strategic decisions.
  • Provide strategic context and future visibility to rating agencies to support credit ratings and investor confidence.
  • Manage credit rating agency relationships and apply credit rating analytics effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with banks and investors to ensure cost-competitive access to capital markets and compliance with financial covenants.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Capital Markets team.

Qualifications

  • CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in corporate finance and capital markets, including transaction execution.
  • Expertise in credit analysis, financial modeling, and capital structure optimization.
  • Strong understanding of equity and debt markets, rating agency methodologies, and investor relations.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex financial strategies.
