Minimum Requirements:
- 4th Class Power Engineering certification (or higher)- Two years of experience within an oil and gas operations facility and/or pipelines operations- In depth knowledge in safely depressurizing, purging, pressurizing natural gas and liquid pipeline operating facilities as well as pipeline pigging and integrity processes- A High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)- A valid driver’s licence and a clean driving record- Strong collaboration skills that enables you to build strong, positive relationships with diverse groups- A continuous improvement mindset and are able to seek greater knowledge and understanding of the systems, process and hazards in the workplace
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment and that policies are followed- Perform plant operation duties for smooth and efficient operations and ensure shift changes are well communicated- Report and appropriately flag all pipeline facility sites issues beyond your scope to your leader- Prepare and complete daily area logs and communicate significant changes and findings in a timely manner- Provide direction and supervision to the maintenance and contract personnel as required- Ensure timely action and process adjustments during plant upsets that are consistent with operational objectives and target outputs- Prepare equipment and systems for maintenance and commissioning- Maintain housekeeping at a high level to ensure a safe work environment
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Pipelines Voyageur site office North of Fort McMurray, Alberta- The shift schedule is a 12-hour rotation of days (Seven days on / Seven days off)- This position is safety sensitive- Occasional travel to remote locations is required- Relocation support will be provided- You will be required to perform some heavy lifting, use of ladders and working on elevated work sites with the ability to perform in a variety of different environments both indoor and outdoor as well as within confined spaces
