Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting, we are looking for an energetic individual with a high level of integrity and initiative to join our Finance team. At Watson Gloves we do all of this in a fun and family-oriented environment.

**Your core RESPONSIBILITIES will include**:

- Process both union and non-union payrolls bi-weekly for hourly and salary employees, including new hires, terminations, salary changes and the calculation of all necessary earnings, garnishments and other deductions
- Process the monthly commission calculations, adjustments, and run bi-monthly commission payroll
- Prepare various payroll reports following each pay-period and preparation of T4’s, T2200s and ROE’s as required
- Post and prepare all required payroll accounting transactions for each payroll, including monthly reconciliations of General Ledger payroll accounts
- Prepare and update payroll budget and budget assumptions
- Prepare, update and reconcile monthly RRSP contributions, extended health benefits and Employer Health Tax
- Provide monthly and ad-hoc analysis on employee earnings and overall personnel expenses, including variance analysis
- Liaise with the HR Department to ensure all personnel records are accurate and up-to-date

**WHAT YOU BRING to Watson Gloves**:
Work Experience/Educational background required:
Relevant post-secondary education in Accounting
Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designated or enrolled in PCP Certification program is an asset
2 plus years’ experience in payroll processing
Experience with MS Office, especially proficient in MS Excel
Experience with payroll software (ie. HR and Payroll)

Additional skills or experience preferred:
Must be able to handle confidential information in an ethical and professional manner
Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency
Experience in a Union Environment
Highly organized, detail oriented with ability to problem solve, show continuous improvements
