Be part of an innovative, Global Capital Markets and Investment Banking business with a unique geographic footprint that puts capital to work for our clients across industries We work together to drive ambition for every future **Function Overview** The Corporate Finance Advisory Function exists to help generate, integrate and deliver thoughtful capital market solutions to Scotiabank’s Global Banking & Markets corporate clients. The Function partners with Corporate & Investment Banking sector teams, Debt Capital Markets, Equity Capital Markets and other product areas to provide in-depth analysis, drive idea generation, strengthen financing recommendations and help identify ancillary business opportunities. Focus areas include: debt capacity analysis, capital structure optimization to achieve financial and/or credit rating objectives, rating agency process facilitation and outcome management for inaugural and existing issuers. The Function has been building its team to deliver on its global mandate. **Position Highlights** The team is looking for an Analyst or an Associate. Members of the team enjoy a stimulating and challenging work environment in which they will be involved in a broad range of transactions. The job is responsible for supporting senior members of the team in the generation of new business opportunities, as well as successfully executing. **What You'll Do**: - Evaluate and analyze the financial needs of corporate clients - Collecting, consolidating and interpreting company, industry and market data - Completion of credit rating analysis including scenario analysis using external credit rating methodologies - Create well thought-out analysis and deliver high-quality presentations - Facilitate the execution of ratings advisory mandates including supporting drafting of rating agency presentations and marketing materials for transactions, liaising with credit rating agencies, cross-functional deal team members, and external clients - Collecting, maintaining and ongoing analysis of client, market and product data - Identifying and developing business opportunities with clients. **What You'll Bring**: - A minimum of 3 years of corporate and/or investment banking or leveraged finance experience.
