Associate, Corporate & Investment Banking Credit TD Securities is one of Canada's most active dealers in Debt and Equity products. Our Corporate & Investment Banking Credit team works closely with the Investment Banking and Sales & Trading teams, handling origination, analysis, risk assessment, and ongoing monitoring of credit transactions. Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 hrs/week Sector: Credit Management, Securities Compensation: $125,000 – $140,000 CAD base salary, plus discretionary variable pay tied to company and individual performance. Job Description Assists in the preparation of credit submissions for assigned borrower accounts including interim requests, annual reviews, and new underwriting requests. Oversees monitoring of borrower performance to ensure compliance with credit terms and accurate risk ratings. Conducts market, industry, and client research for ongoing risk assessment and monitoring of client news. Coordinates with corporate banking relationship managers on term sheets, client presentations, and Loan Capital Committee analysis, including return model preparation. Works with senior management and product groups (Investment Banking, Cash Management, FX, Derivatives, Global Metals, Global Trade Finance) to meet credit needs. Ensures all credit reviews include appropriate sensitivity analysis and MFA spreadsheet tool analysis. Collaborates with senior leadership to ensure loan and security documentation reflects credit authorization details. Reviews compliance reports, loan documentation, identifies and communicates risk issues, and applies legal concepts. Works closely with assigned vice presidents or directors to meet team objectives. Job Requirements Well‑organized, detail oriented, able to work under pressure and tight deadlines. Superior financial modelling and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication and problem‑solving skills. Proactive, highly motivated, able to work independently and in a team. Excellent knowledge of MS Excel. Minimum 3 years relevant experience, preferably in corporate or commercial banking. Experience as an analyst or associate acceptable. CFA designation and/or MBA considered an asset.
