Inventory Operations Manager

A team of 2 or more individuals will report to you. Making sure that the team is utilized in an efficient and productive manner is imperative to the success of your role in this position. This will include performing and delegating returns, core returns, regularly scheduled inventory and cycle counts.
Whelan Truck Repair has recently implemented the use of state-of-the-art inventory software that will aide in daily processes such as ordering and stock management.
**Responsibilities**
- Manage and oversee all aspects of inventory management, including data collection and analysis to improve stock turnover.
- Consistently monitor velocity reports to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained.
- Coordinate with parts staff to streamline order fulfillment processes.
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory levels and forecast needs.
- Monitor parts department distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory to maintain accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
- Train and supervise staff on inventory management best practices. I took out the line about forklift training.
- Collaborate with vendors/suppliers to manage buy decisions based on inventory analysis.
- Manage Staff including Purchasing staff and Parts Driver
- Communicate regularly with Service Manager to ensure Inventory needs are met
- Preparing an Inventory Management plan that will be expandable to our expanding building
- Create accessible area for mechanics to retrieve parts for in progress jobs that improves work flow and speed of repairs.
**Skills**
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Proficiency in order fulfillment processes and systems.
- Experience with demand planning methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with MRP systems for efficient inventory tracking.
- Knowledge of supply chain principles and warehouse distribution operations.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely (certification preferred).
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 42.5 per week
