**Boeing Winnipeg** is seeking an experienced **Network Administrator** to join our team in our **Winnipeg, MB** location.

This role will report to the Senior Information Technology Manager.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Evaluates and communicates technical information and solutions with customers, suppliers and teammates at all levels of the organization in a professional manner
- Analyzes, manages and maintains Ethernet network topology, network devices, servers and server operating systems, subsystems, and components
- Evaluates complex system's production readiness and supportability
- Provides corporate Cisco networking experience including Cisco switching/routing, and the building of resilient TCP/IP networks
- Ensures Information Technology infrastructure conforms to standard architectural objectives as well as meets security objectives
- Works directly with other functional areas to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the enterprise requirements and schedules
- Administers user system access and establishes safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements
- Performs the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:

- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- 3+ years of experience in a corporate environment with Cisco IOS
- 3+ years installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Cisco hardware in a corporate environment (Catalyst switches, ASR routers, wireless controllers, access points)
- 3+ years of experience with Network cabling (copper and fiber)

**Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):x**
- Preference will be given to those with Dell/EMC Unity storage array and Brocade FC switch experience
- Preference will be given to those with experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering support in a corporate environment for Unix / Linux (AIX, Oracle Linux, CentOS, HP-UX, Solaris, Ubuntu)
- AIX-based IBM Spectrum Protect centralized backup software experience
- Experience with Juniper Network Junos OS firewall in a corporate environment would be an asset
- Preference will be given to Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
- Cisco VOIP experience
- Wireshark experience

**Typical Education and Experience**:
Technical bachelor’s degree and typically 5 or more years’ related work experience or a Master’s degree with typically 3 or more years’ or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four-year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
