**GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY**:
Under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, the Manager, Human Resources is responsible for providing proactive and collaborative leadership and expertise in the management of HR services in support of the Agency’s mission, values, policies and strategic direction.

The Manager will lead a team of HR professionals, working cross-functionally within the department and across the organization to provide a coordinated HR service for Agency operations. The Manager will provide sensitive and strategic HR advice to leaders at all levels concerning both union and non-union personnel and focusing mainly on the areas of recruitment and retention; employment and labour relations; HR policies, procedures and processes; attendance support; and compensation and benefits. The Manager will execute priority HR programs and initiatives, working with internal and external stakeholders and community partners to promote a positive and safe organizational culture for patients, families and staff.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree in administration (business administration/commerce, health administration, or public administration) or human resources management.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant human resources experience.
- Minimum 1 year experience managing/supervising direct reports.
- Experience dealing with professional and technical staff in a unionized environment is an asset.
- Experience in a health care environment is an asset.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered, with demonstrated commitment to maintain currency in human resources best practices.
- Travel is required.

- Strong interpersonal and people management skills and a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team to accomplish goals.

- Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, unions, and community partners.
- Ability to influence, motivate and coach leaders and their teams.

- Strong oral and written communication skills, including facilitation skills.
- Strong commitment to patient/client service excellence.
- Knowledge of culturally responsive care for First Nations and Métis people.
