A primary care/family practice medical clinic, consisting of eight physicians and a Family Medicine residency training program associated with the University of Manitoba. **Title: Clinic Business Manager/Executive Director**

The Business Manger/Executive Director is responsible for the effective leadership, strategic oversight, and operational management of Selkirk Medical Associates. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while optimizing clinic performance, compliance with Manitoba Health/College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba(CPSM) regulations, and financial sustainability. The Business Manager/Executive Director works collaboratively with physicians and administrative staff to create a positive work environment and provide an excellent patient experience.

**Business Manager Key Job Responsibilities**:
**Leadership & Strategic Oversight**:

- Provide day-to-day leadership and long-term planning aligned with clinic objectives.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop strategies for clinic growth, service expansion, and community engagement.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.

**Clinic Operations**
- Hire, supervise, and support clinic staff, including administrative personnel and medical office assistants.
- Oversee scheduling, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with Manitoba labour laws, workplace health and safety standards, and respectful workplace policies.
- Manage daily activities and schedules of office staff in collaboration with office manager.
- Oversee office technology including:

- Third party billing
- Coordinating with Electronic Medical Record(EMR) vendor, IT support, and Shared Health
- EMR monitoring, remediation reports, liaise with IERHA regarding reports
- Liaise with Family Medicine Residency program coordinator regarding learner scheduling, and orientation of new learners
- Liaise with building/property manager regarding concerns/maintenance
- Manage, coordinate and distribute Physician schedules, and corresponding third party billing invoices
- Responsible for bank deposits, payments for supplier accounts, invoicing vendors and subcontractors, and coordinating with bookkeeper

**Financial Management**
- Develop and manage the clinic budget, ensuring sound financial practices and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee billing processes in compliance with Manitoba Health’s fee-for-service model and insured/uninsured services billing.
- Monitor revenue cycle performance and implement improvements where needed.

**Business Management Qualifications/Skills**:

- Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Strong leadership skills for effectively guiding and motivating office support staff.
- Knowledge of HR practices and experience in staff supervision.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and best practices in office management.
- Experience in office management or a related role.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills to efficiently manage office processes, documentation, and resources.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with patients, staff, and vendors.
- Familiarity with general accounting principles and budgeting.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and cost control to ensure the organization's financial well-being.
- Proficient in office software and technology and capable of managing IT resources.

**Application Process**

Pay: $90,000.00 per year
