**MCON Products** is local, and family owned, industrial manufacturing facility that was established in 1989 in Ottawa, Ontario to provide the fast-growing market with high quality Precast Concrete products on time and at a competitive price. Our precast products include circular and elliptical concrete pipes, circular and box maintenance holes, catch basin, box culverts, oil grit separators and gravity retaining wall systems.

**Overview**:
The purpose of a **dispatcher** is to coordinate and manage the movement of products and inventory, ensuring efficient and timely operations. The Dispatcher will act as the central point of communication between the drivers, the office, the yard and customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop delivery routes and maintain contact with drivers throughout the day.
- Flexibility to meet changing daily production schedules.
- Act as a communication liaison through the two-way radio and answer incoming phone calls
- Cultivate strong relationship with drivers and customers
- Receive and dispatch orders for products
- Prepare loading bills, delivery tickets and/or invoices as required
- Calculate customer requirements based on information provided by customer
- Answer incoming calls and assist or direct calls as required
- Assist in Inventory management-updating, controlling and/or ordering as required.
- Entering products in system inventory
- Completing and filing of various documents generated, as required
- Matching purchase orders with packing slip and/or invoices
- Prepare Point of sale (POS) daily cash receipts log
- Co-ordinate deliveries to customers
- Ensure compliance with delivery deadlines and regulations
- Participate in taking our physical inventory
- Function as the main point of contact for drivers.
- Resolve conflict situations.
- Collaborate with co-workers to modify daily routes/deliveries to accommodate the needs of our customers.
- Assist customers at the counter and over the phone
- Take customer orders over the phone and/or in person
- Other miscellaneous related duties

**Qualifications**:

- Education Required: _
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, diploma preferred
- Previous experience:_
- 2-5 years dispatch previous experience (preferably in the industrial sector)
- 2-5 years experience with customer service
- Computer savvy (MS Office, specifically Excel)
- Experience with GPS and mapping software.
- Experience with CB radios and knowledge of protocols

- Able to prioritize work activities based on financial impact to desired business goals.

- Familiarity with basic business processes (e.g., purchasing, sales, inventory) is an asset.

- Initiative-taker, with excellent work ethic

**Compensation**:

- Salary range $60,000-70,000, based on experience
- Permanent, Full-time, 42.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday
- On-site, Located in Ottawa, Ontario
