We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious **Snow Cat Operators** to join our team for winter operations. As a Snow Cat Operator, you will be responsible for operating snow grooming equipment to maintain and prepare snow-covered terrain at our resort or facility. Your primary goal will be to ensure safe and enjoyable winter sports experiences for our guests while adhering to strict safety standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operation of Snow Grooming Equipment: Operate and maintain snow grooming equipment, including snowcats, snow groomers, and other machinery, to prepare and maintain ski slopes, snowmobile trails, and other winter recreational areas.
- Terrain Maintenance: Use specialized equipment to groom, push, and distribute snow in a manner that ensures smooth and safe skiing, snowboarding, and other winter sports activities. This includes shaping and maintaining jumps, halfpipes, and terrain parks.
- Snow Management: Monitor snow conditions and work with snowmaking and maintenance teams to manage snow quality and depth, as well as make snow when necessary.
- Safety Procedures: Strictly adhere to safety guidelines, operating procedures, and protocols to ensure the safety of resort staff and guests. Maintain knowledge of all safety standards and promote safe practices.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on grooming equipment, report any mechanical issues, and ensure the proper functioning of the equipment. Conduct pre

- Communication: Maintain effective communication with supervisors, ski patrol, and other resort personnel to coordinate activities and report any emergencies or safety concerns.
- Environmental Stewardship: Contribute to environmental sustainability efforts by adhering to resource conservation practices and minimizing environmental impact during grooming operations.
- Equipment Records: Maintain accurate records related to equipment usage, maintenance, fuel consumption, and grooming activities.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating snow grooming equipment and related machinery.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Snow Cat Operator certification or equivalent safety training.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and operate equipment during overnight shifts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at high altitudes and in challenging terrains.
- **Oilfield Safety Tickets are a must (CSO, First Aid, CSTS, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance 2)**

**Job Type**: Seasonal

**Salary**: $22.00-$40.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift

- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- operating a snow cat: 1 year (preferred)
- removing snow: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 5 Licence (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- CSO (preferred)
- H2S Alive (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 75% (preferred)
