**Equipment Operator I - Roads, Solid Waste & Recycling**

**The Role**
This position is responsible for the safe and skilled operation of equipment owned or leased by the Town. The Equipment Operator I must have knowledge of road, solid waste & recycling. This position will also be required to perform a wide variety of duties and tasks associated with position descriptions of equal or lesser responsibilities.
To be successful you will have a grade 12 education or equivalent with three (3) years related experience; In addition, you will have five (3) years’ experience operating heavy equipment. In addition, you will have a valid Class 3Q Alberta driver’s license. You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of the practices, procedures and principles used in all aspects of asphalt roadways, municipal concrete program, overland drainage, sign installation, traffic control devices, street sweeping, and snow and ice control.
