**Reporting to the Canadian HR Director (while working closely with local Sr. Manager of Operations), the HR **Specialist **will be responsible for the following**:

- Provide support in the following areas: benefits, compensation, HRIS, employee relations, learning and development.- Maintain and develop business relationships with employment agencies and other employment services.
- Coordinate HRIS transactions ensuring high level of data integrity.
- Work closely with associates to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Research and implement best practices in areas such as recruitment, associate engagement, learning & development, performance management, and more.
- Coordinate training and compliance requirements sessions and participation in engagement surveys.
- Act as main point of contact for Associates, handling questions and inquires on all HR related areas.
- Assist the Operations HR Team with administrative support and coordination and execution of employee events.
- Coordinate all incident/accidents and Worksafe claims, working with external and internal contacts, modify work, follow up etc.
- Assist with Health and Safety, take part in Joint Health and Safety Committee meeting; escalate any issues that require management's attention and recommends policy changes and necessary training to ensure compliance to Health & Safety legislation.
- Coordinate rewards and recognition programs including service awards.
- Maintain a professional customer service-oriented manner within the company and support the corporate image as per the HR departmental objectives and company policies.
- Assist the leadership team with performance management including incident investigations, corrective action, disciplinary letters, and terminations.
**Education **Requirements**:
Completed University Degree or College Diploma in a related program. Working towards or completed CHRP is an asset.

- Knowledge and understanding of Worksafe regulations an asset.

**_Experience:_**
- Minimum of three (3) years of HR General experience.
- Experience and exposure to HRIS systems such as Workday and UKG would be a definite asset. Jobvite, ATS knowledge is a bonus.
