**Credit & Collections Supervisor - Colas Western Canada Inc.**

**LOCATION**: St. Albert, AB (250 Carleton Drive)
**REPORTING TO**:Corporate Controller

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Management of credit and collections department.
- Implementation of automation and enhancement within department.
- Continuous monitoring and follow up of outstanding accounts receivable.
- Daily monitoring of COD accounts when outstanding balances exist.
- Regular collection inquiries with customers.
- Follow up with divisions on accounts receivable.
- Assist in troubleshooting, identifying, and resolving billing problems and customer concerns.
- Reviewing potential customer credit recommendations when required.
- Main contact to associated credit bureaus.
- Annual reviews of customer credit on an as needed basis.
- JDE and JWS customer set up (secondary).
- Communicating to customers and divisional contacts on formal notice of customer approval or denial.
- Management of accounts receivable shared Outlook mailbox.
- Working with Vice Presidents, Controllers, and others to identify and solve potential collection problems.
- Working with legal department on potential claims and/or payment demand requests.
- Working with human resource department on hiring and terminating employees, when necessary.
- Working with cash receipting team on payment inquiries/discrepancies and customer payment method.
- Oversight and review of integrity, standardization, and clean up of master customer data.
- Development and maintenance of all accounts receivable related Standard Operating Procedures.
- Submission and follow up of ideas to AHA for software or IS improvements.
- Other projects assigned by Corporate Controller, VP Finance, or President

**Qualifications**:

- 3+ years’ comparable collections experience within a credit and collections department.
- Experience in a supervisor or team lead role.
- Experience within the construction industry is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of PPCLA and its impact on the accounts receivable/collections management.
- Familiarity with credit reports, third party collections and credit recommendations.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards considered an asset.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, collaborative, and team-based environment.
- Adaptability to a changing work environment.
- Ability to work autonomously.
