The Settlement Intake Program Support Worker provides intake services to clients and administrative support to the Settlement team. This position performs data entry, compiles reports, and liaises with other CCI departments to ensure the best service for clients.

This position reports to: Settlement Manager
Employment status**:Contract - March 31, 2026**
Hourly rate**:$28.78**

**MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Settlement Intake Program Support Worker will:

- Conduct basic needs assessment, identify access barriers for clients and provide settlement information and referrals using a variety of delivery platforms.
- Collect initial client information, open files, and maintain records into the organizations database.
Provide initial information about agency programs and services.
- Prepare intake reports for Settlement clients.
- Support the Settlement and Intake workers in ensuring clients receive support to access settlement services
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

(Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills)

The Settlement Intake Program Support Worker understands and supports CCI’s mission and has knowledge of the newcomer market in Ottawa. This position requires strong communications and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational abilities and exceptional cultural competency. The Settlement Intake Program Support Worker must be a self-starter with initiative who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and a high degree of cross-cultural competence.
- Skilled at de-escalation, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
- High degree of accuracy in data entry.
- Demonstrates understanding of the newcomer experience.
- Familiarity with relevant community programs and resources.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal with confidential material and matters.
- Ability to perform duties independently and with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, culturally diverse workplace.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- **Fluency in English or French is essential.
