We are seeking an experienced IT Security Manager for our growing team in one of our offices in Edmonton, Calgary, or the Lethbridge areas.
**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and Implement Security Strategies:
- Design and execute security policies, standards, and procedures to protect the organization’s data and systems.
- Work closely with the IT Director to align security initiatives with business goals.
- Risk Management:
- Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits.
- Develop mitigation strategies for identified security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response:
- Lead the response to security incidents, ensuring swift resolution and mínimal impact.
- Conduct thorough investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Security Architecture:
- Evaluate and recommend security tools and technologies.
- Compliance and Auditing:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Prepare for and participate in security audits and assessments.
- Security Awareness and Training:
- Develop and deliver security awareness training programs for all employees.
- Foster a culture of security within the organization.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Implement and manage security monitoring solutions.
- Prepare and present security reports to the IT Director and executive team.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT security management.
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance.
- Proven experience with security technologies and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage security teams.
