**Indigenous Advisor Intern (Canada Summer Job Grant)**

**Position Reports To**: Manager, Indigenous Relations

**PURPOSE**:
The IER Intern is a temporary, CSJG-funded position. Canada Summer Jobs #5065034. The IER Intern will have an opportunity to gain hands-on engagement and office administration experience and learn about the various aspects of the Readiness and Indigenous Relations field & administrative work at WBF. Thanks to the Canada Summer Job Grant, WBF will provide the intern with real-world learning opportunities in a supportive environment to help build future careers.

The IER Intern will work directly under the supervision of the Manager of Indigenous Relations and will assist other members across other business lines.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Schedule, coordinate and facilitate events such as information sessions and workshops around pre-employment skill building.
- Maintain student follow-ups and records in accordance with Customer Relationship Management system requirements
- Represent and promote WBF by travelling within Alberta and connecting with Indigenous communities and prospective applicants to provide information about WBF (e.g. career fairs, information sessions, and other events)
- Provide support to the Readiness team with virtual and in-person readiness programming.
- Help to assess needs of Indigenous explorers and applicants, providing thoughts on how WBF can improve outcomes for this demographic.
- Other duties as assigned.

**EMPLOYMENT CONSIDERATIONS**:

- Must have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
- Must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada

This position has been approved by Canada Student job Grant program for 12 weeks.

**Compensation**: $20/hour at 35 hours/week.

**Start date**:as early as May 5, 2025
