Experienced Pet Sitter

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide daily pet care, including feeding, walking, playtime, enrichment and other scheduled activities.
- Administer medication and follow all special instructions as required.
- Keep accurate records of all pet-related activities and provide detailed daily updates to clients and company management.
- Monitor pets for any signs of illness, injury, or behavioural changes and report concerns promptly.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets at all times.
- Perform basic clean-up duties, including waste removal and litter box maintenance.
- Utilize fear-free, compassionate handling techniques for all pets.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and our team.

**Requirements**:

- At least **2 years of professional pet care experience** (paid or volunteer), with strong knowledge of pet behaviour, safety, and care techniques.
- Experience handling pets with special needs, anxiety, reactivity, or fear issues, and proficiency in fear-free care techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel to clients’ homes within the HRM area.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including **evenings, weekends, and holidays** (including Christmas and New Year’s).
