Founded in 1975, Oakmont supplies quality doors and door-related products to both high-rise concrete and low-rise wood frame multi-family residential construction in B.C., Western Canada and the West Coast of the United States.

Oakmont is looking for a self-motivated individual who likes to work in a team environment to fill the position of warehouse man/receiver. The role will report to the Shipping Coordinator and will work collaboratively with the Oakmont wood shop foreman in an effort to streamline product delivery to the wood shop and unloading trucks. The primary responsibilities will be to unload finished product into the warehouse and ensure paperwork is completed accurately and passed onto the administration team.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Unloading Trucks**: Quickly and effectively unload trucks with doors, hardware and casing both with a forklift and by hand. Organize paperwork for admin department.
- **Staging Product**: Organization of the unloading area to stage products for the wood shop. Awareness of what orders are currently being worked on, and future schedules.
- **Product Receiving**:This role is responsible for receiving and accurately labeling incoming stock from suppliers.
- **Communication Skills**: Ability to communicate and work with all 3 of our production shops, truck drivers and shipping co-ordinator to ensure product is received accurately
- **Truck Maintenance**: Keep fleet (3) of trucks clean and wash the outside of the trucks when weather permits.
- **Shop Duties**: Monitor and empty the wood, cardboard and garbage bins.
- **Forklift Maintenance**: General forklift maintenance: monitor battery and water level and complete weekly safety check on forklift.
- **Cleanliness**: Ensure everything is put away in its place and keep shipping area tidy.
- **Truck Driver**: As a last resort, transport shipments to site.
- **Shipper Back** - **Up**: Knowledge and ability to back-up shipper when he is on vacation.

**Job Specifications**
- **Hours**: Monday-Friday (7am-3:30 pm) with two 15 minute coffee breaks and 30 minute lunch. Willingness to work overtime as needed.

- **Pension**: Eligible for pension which Oakmont will contribute to after 2 full years of employment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
