Training & Gds Support Specialist - Remote

**Training & GDS Support Specialist**:
**Position Overview**This is a fully remote position- Must be willing to travel up to 30%**Responsibilities**
- Provide training for CentralCommand (back office) implementations
- Develop and maintain training manuals and job aids for end users and support personnel
- Assess effectiveness of training programs and determine if additional training is required
- Audit Mid-Office Error Reports and Debit Memo Reports to determine additional training opportunities
- Mentor peers through cross training efforts and technical GDS expertise
- Provide Customer Service, GDS and Training Support
- Participate in scheduled meetings and special projects as assigned
- Effectively communicate status, issues, and concerns with team members
- Ensure work activities are completed in a timely manner; meet deadlines
- Facilitate and implement GDS and Training projects
- Complete projects from start to finish using standard processes and procedures that are in place
- Provide recommendations for standardization and cost savings
- Distinguish between critical and non-critical issues
- Forward thinking; anticipate tasks outside of the normally identified steps
- Understand third party system components (hardware and software)
- Manage vendor relationships and faciliate Vendor User Group monthly and quarterly calls
- Handle escalations to vendor representatives
- Prepare and distribute GDS communications
- Manage GDS Version update testing and distribution
- Provide weekly department updates to leadership
- Manage GDS orders, setup, configuration and maintenance (backup)
- Provide technical expertise around GDS setups for GDS vendors
- Ensure policy and procedures are enforced around access to GDS, GDS orders, and PCC setups
- Maintain GDS advisories and distribute to Ops Leadership when required
**Basic Qualifications**
- Excellent presentation skills, verbal and written communication, training, training management and evaluation
- GDS format expertise on a minimum of one GDS system (multiple preferred)
- Ability to learn and train formats and processes on multiple GDS systems
- Ability to thoroughly understand the reservation process and impact to automation and back office systems
- Demonstrate attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and diagnose problems, and provide actionable steps for resolution
- Must take ownership of all assigned tasks and project related assignments
- Knowledge of 3rd party travel products i.e. Online Booking Tools, BookingBuilder, Conferma, etc.
