Our Securities Operations team is currently growing We’re seeking a Director, Advisor Services - someone who will provide strategic direction in leading the operations group to provide accurate and efficient administration, processing and service support for IPC Advisors and their teams.

**What is the role of the Director, Advisor Services?**
- Effectively leading and managing the distribution operations groups which include securities operations, credit, mutual fund and insurance operations
- Create multi-functional cross trained teams leading to an environment that develops into a flexible, customer centric operations model
- Report regularly on the efficiency and effectiveness of the department in relationship to service levels, standards and other corporate targets
- Ensure team delivers overall service excellence to the IPC Advisors and streamline operations where feasible
- Co-lead technology solutions and project development for operational processes
- Identify technological gaps and develop solutions to improve existing operational processes while ensuring industry, regulatory and legislative standards are adhered to
- Manage development and maintenance of operational process and related documentation to ensure corporate standards are delivered and maintained
- Communicate and prioritize process related issues, business opportunities, and successes to management to create awareness or decision point for business operations
- Keep abreast of industry developments and product innovations to ensure dealership is meeting current requirements
- Establish and deliver concise deliverables for all outsourcing relationships including, business impact, resource requirements, cost and timing of process, issues or solutions
- Establish and deliver results consistent with the goals and budgets within corporate approved plans
- Communicate delivery and implement training of team members and managers on enhancements or changes to operational processes
- Recruit, mentor, motivate and train staff to exceed customer service levels and enhance employee development

**What are the preferred competencies for a Director, Advisor Services?**
- Ability to lead, direct and manage teams of management and professional level team members
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely the goals and objectives of the organization to all stakeholders and levels of the organization
- Positive and collaborative approach to teamwork and effective listener
- Willingness to align one’s own behavior with the needs, priorities and goals of the organization
- Strong time management skills with an ability to manage various working teams
- Ability to oversee multiple projects effectively and a capacity for dealing with tight deadlines

**What are the preferred qualifications for a Director, Advisor Services?**
- 5-7 years of experience leading an operations team within the securities industry
- Experience working with dealer and nominee platform is required
- An advanced knowledge of CIRO regulatory and operational processes is required
- Post-secondary education in Business or related discipline required
- CSC or IFIC course required
- Knowledge of relevant CIRO back-office software solutions is required
- Must be extremely proficient at using the Microsoft Office suite of products, mainly MS Word and Excel & Power Point
