**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Set-up and preparation of mixing area
- Scaling ingredients and scale operation
- Recording weights and batches on paper
- Communicating daily batching to Production Supervisors and Production Managers
- Preparing ingredients for mixes as needed for production according to batch sheets and formulas.
- Ensure correct ingredients are used for each batch.
- Scale, mix, and blend as required and according to prescribed recipes
- Maintain a log of production or other data as required
- Accurately measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes
- Mechanical aptitude. Understands production equipment, industrial mixers and processes
- Prior Mixing and/or Processing experience a plus.
- Support in changeovers and clean-up or sanitization of equipment
- Maintain hygiene, quality and safety standards
- Follow Food Safety and HACCP systems and GMP rules
- Other duties as assigned

**You Have**:

- Reliable transportation to our facility located in York University Heights and an excellent attendance record

**Experience/Education**
- 2+ years of experience Mixing/Scaling in food manufacturing or commercial baking an asset
- Understanding of weights, measurements and baking concepts
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve and take direction
- Ability to perform math calculations related to scaling ingredients
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal

**Hours of Work and Conditions**
- Food manufacturing/commercial bakery setting
- Standing, leaning for extended periods of time, frequent turning at the waist
- Pushing, pulling or bending frequently
- Lifting up to 50lbs
- Mixing batch sizes up to 400 kg
- Comfortable wearing uniform, hairnet and safety shoes during shift
- Flexibility regarding shift schedules during busy season

**Salary**: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
