As our business is constantly growing, we are currently looking for an **Auto Body **Appraiser/Estimator** as an addition to our **Ellerslie** team.

**Role of an Appraiser**:
The Appraiser is the main point of contact for customers; therefore, this position is the true representation of the company by providing customers with timely, friendly and correct estimates. Aside from being the company’s representative, the Appraiser is also responsible for:

- Handling ongoing communication with insurance companies, fleet, customers, adjusters, production staffs and other parties that are involved regarding repair costs and timeline of the vehicle.
- Completing insurance compliant appraisals while achieving the Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
- Documenting and taking photograph of all prior damages.
- Performing adjustments as needed in the case of additional damages that are found after the initial appraisals.
- Participating in daily production meeting to provide key information to the Production Manager and the rest of the team members.
- Validate that the estimate parts prices are accurate with the suppliers/vendors prior to upload.
- Order all parts electronically in management system.
- Perform the adjustments as needed to prior and/or current estimate and assign them to the proper department or account in the management system. (i.e.: insurance company wants glass as sublet cost
- store purchases glass and installs, need to add part and labour to assign tech and receive part).
- Following the Standard Operating Procedure that has been established by Johnny K CARSTAR Group as well as the guidelines that have been provided by various insurance companies.
- Inspect repair and meet with customer when dropping off or picking up vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in company meetings and be willing to attend any and all training programs to enhance performance both personally and professionally.
- Keeping the notes section in Mitchell Repair Center (MRC) up to date.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1-5 years experience in appraising.
- Experience with estimating software such as Audatex and Mitchell.
- I-CAR training is preferred.
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver License or equivalent.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Has a good work attitude and a strong team player.
- Adaptable to changes.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel and handle multiple tasks at once.
- A self-motivator with the willingness to keep learning.
- willing to help out in other areas of the company
