Lorval Developments is currently seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Development Coordinator to join our team in Langley, BC. The Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting senior staff across all phases of development, spanning pre-construction, construction, and post-construction. Integral to this role is close collaboration with various in-house departments, such as legal, finance, accounting, marketing, and construction.

**Position: Development Coordinator**

**Location: Langley, BC**

**Responsibilities**:

- Administrative Support:

- Assist in project documentation management, including filing, organization of documents and drawings.
- Facilitate communication with consultants regarding fee proposals, invoicing, and contract documentation.
- Prepare and distribute reports, meeting minutes, and various project documents.
- Aid in the development of proformas, project feasibility studies, and research on city policies.
- Participate in drawing reviews and project-related meetings.
- Permit Application Assistance:

- Handle the preparation of cheques and requests for Letters of Credit.
- Reporting and Documentation:

- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for the development team as needed.
- Legal Support:

- Assist in managing project legal matters, including title examination and preparation of legal summaries.
- Coordinate agreements with legal entities for city and neighboring properties.
- Aid in reviewing disclosure statements, strata documents, and unit entitlement forms.
- Schedule Management:

- Update schedules and milestone dates for the development team.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in architectural or construction management or a related field.
- Proven experience in development or construction coordination or a similar role.
- Knowledge of the development or construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Willingness to learn other real estate/building software utilized internally.
- Demonstrated interest in real estate and/or development.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive approach to clarifying understanding.
- Detail-oriented with a quick learning aptitude.
- Team-oriented and available to provide assistance when needed.
