The Machine Operator will troubleshoot issues causing failures, drive continuous improvement of the production and maintenance operating, elevate issues impeding optimum performance. - Perform simple, routine, and repetitive tasks involving physical labor and is required to operate equipment and hand and power tools - Ensure the efficient operation of equipment used in the manufacturing of products according to established procedures, following all safety protocols and workplace policies - Manage preventive maintenance, safety, 5S and quality control processes and ensuring cleanliness standards are met in the work area - Operation of equipment used in the manufacturing of products according to instructions, on-time, and to the prescribed quality standard - Escalating issues that may impact production to the Team Leader or supervisor on duty - Ensuring required materials and supplies are available at all times - Actively participate in problem solving sessions and continuously identify improvement initiatives **What are we looking for?** We're looking for engaged individuals that are adaptable to a changing environment, take pleasure in learning, and enjoy working with others, and continuing to make ABIC great. **Skills/Experience**: - Machine shop experience or mechanical aptitude - Experience with power tools - Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English - Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components - Work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies - Consistently stand for an entire shift - General mechanical knowledge a plus - Work with others and be a team player - Accuracy - Reliability & punctuality To perform this job successfully, you must be able to report daily to the factory to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Vision care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Monday to Friday **Experience**: - Carpentry: 1 year (preferred) - Assembly: 1 year (preferred)
