One of Canada’s leading distributors of woodworking materials is expanding the sales force and is looking for a **TECHNICAL SALES SPECIALIST** to join the **WOODCOATINGS DIVISION**. This person is accountable for servicing and managing existing accounts and identifying new business relationships throughout Northern Alberta.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Strong wood finishing technical aptitude
- Custom color mixing proficiency
- Work collaboratively with manager and sales team to meet sales targets
- Knowledge in overall sales process, preparing for customer calls, anticipating customer needs and working through customer issues
- Communicating the features, benefits and advantages of products to end users
- Conducting product demonstrations/trials with customers
- Ability to identify potential growth opportunities within existing accounts and territory

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Strong knowledge of Woodcoatings Industry
- Aptitude for matching colors
- Strong presentation and sales skills
- High level of self-motivation, self-direction, and self-discipline
- Local market knowledge
- Excellent written, verbal communication and strong inter-personal skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Willing to travel
