We are looking for a **Technical Services Specialist** in 90 Gough Rd #4, Markham, ON L3R 5V5 CAN. Your mission will be to:
Coordinate and administer the day to day operations of field Consulting and Education departments. Serve as initial and primary point of contact for all Education leads and as an initial contact for field consulting leads. Work with all Silliker clients as well as Silliker’s commercial team to identify and execute growth strategies in the Education and field consulting business unit.
**Job Duties**
- Develop and document all processes required to carry out the administrative, operational processes for the education and field consulting groups within Technical Services.
- Serve as an initial contact for field consulting leads and work with sales and consultants to address client needs and maintain sales pipeline. Develop leads by assisting in proposal development and execution and logístical planning for consulting work.
- Manage the DVD, digital download fulfillment, and education “engine room” processes for custom and public course manual development, production and shipping.
- Ensure course materials, logistics and necessary materials are available for a seamless administration of public and custom courses, as well as, negotiate and execute hotel contract(s) for all public courses.
- Execute peer review process for new and outdated public course materials and work with Marketing and other experts to develop new educational service offerings, develop and execute marketing promotions, write blog articles and other relevant communications.
- Maintain applicable credential files and document templates for all training and consulting employees and contractors, including the departmental calendar.
- Review and track course evaluation surveys to identify opportunities for improvement in content and instruction and ensure leads are entered into CRM for follow up by appropriate parties.
- Maintain ecommerce websites for public courses, DVDs, SISTEM Express and new products as developed.
- Maintain client files including lead forms, client correspondence, proposals, agreements, contractor invoices and reports; process and reconcile all invoices for education and field consulting and track revenues vs. forecast.
- Maintain current training materials and license agreements with SQF, BRC, International Seafood HACCP Alliance and International HACCP Alliance.
- Provide quarterly tracking reports as applicable to entities such as the Refrigerated Foods Association.
- Maintain relationships with third party providers, such as Alchemy, to develop service offering and coordinate platform’s billing and tracking and coordination with Engine Room
- Support other corporate quality and continuous improvement process.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
**YOUR PROFILE**
This position requires knowledge in the life sciences typically obtained from a degree in a science field or similar length of experience working in a related industry. Three to five years experience working directly with customers and/or customer service is needed to effectively work with clients on meeting their expectations. Strong communication skills are needed to effectively interact with clients. Computer skills are necessary to provide technical and tracking reports for both clients and internally. This position requires a basic understanding of e-commerce, Internet registration processes, current social media tools and learning management systems to support online course or exam registration and usage and to facilitate positive customer experience. General knowledge of company, product and services is needed in order to communicate with clients with regards to their other service needs. Time management and planning skills are necessary to accomplish tasks within set time constraints. Client relation skills are essential to deal with clients and course participants. The incumbent must be capable of assessing priorities, organizing and communicating to supervisor to ensure timely and appropriate resolutions.
