**Overview of role**:
WestJet is seeking a Program Manager, Leader Effectiveness to join our People & Culture team. This new role will be an integral part of our Talent Management & Leader Development Centre of Excellence (CoE). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Talent Management & Leader Development, this experienced professional will be the program owner for the high impact, high visibility enterprise portfolio of Leader Effectiveness. They’ll partner with our Sr HR Business Partners, other P&C CoEs and various senior leaders to deploy targeted and pragmatic leader development for current and future leaders across WestJet. Their work will be in service of enabling sustained high performance of our people and deepening and broadening our talent pools for leadership succession readiness.
**Key deliverables include**:
- Own the bi-annual Leadership Effectiveness Survey, including organizational change management associated with the revised Survey, analytics and general administration. Responsible for deriving insights and recommending actions (on a macro level) to P&C leadership.
- Deliver leadership development directly correlated to our Leader Checklist through asynchronous channels, including measuring your impact.
- On a limited basis, supplementing leadership development resources by researching, recommending and partnering with vendors to deliver leadership-related training.
- Identify and cultivate strategies to facilitate career development and mobility across the enterprise, namely through the creation of rotational leadership development programs using Experience Maps as a basis for program design.
- Other Talent Management and Organizational Development related duties as required.
**Experience and qualifications**:
- 7 - 10 years’ related experience in the fields of Talent Management, HR Business Partnering, Learning & Organizational Development, I/O Psychology or similar.
- Experience working in a large, complicated and geographically distributed organization.
- Strong knowledge of talent management, business partnering and organizational development practices with the ability and willingness to identify and parse out what is scientifically valid versus popular trends.
- Prior experience designing and delivering adult learning with a focus on leadership development is an asset.
- Prior experience designing and delivering enterprise People surveys is an asset.
- Prior experience with designing Experience Maps and/or building rotational programs is an asset.
- A self-starter who can identify the most important problems to be solved and bring pragmatic solutions that serve business needs.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong written communication and presentation skills given the emphasis on the use of asynchronous channels to support our leader’s self-led learning.
- High curiousity and desire to continuously learn. Relies not only on past experiences but actively seeks out thought partnership and resources from valid third party sources.
- A high-integrity leader, operates with a high degree of discretion and sound judgment.
- Influences without the use of positional authority through trusting relationships.
- Accustomed to navigating high change environments - flexible and open-minded.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Holds themselves to a high standard and takes their job seriously, but not themselves
