Responsibilities
This position has overall responsibility of multiple projects responsibilities from contract award to the end of the System Warranty Period within the program. This involves ensuring all terms and conditions of the contract are met to the Customer’s satisfaction and interfacing with other departments on a frequent basis. Programs are meant to create change in the organization to create growth, often through innovation and the Program Manager will be held accountable in this respect. This position is the official Company representative for the Program and all major decisions are either made or approved by the Program Manager after consultation with the Delivery Director and Vice President.
Day to day activities may include:
- Leading by example and promoting the AVEVA Values- Establishing and meeting all project schedules and budgets within the Program- Building, coordinating and supporting the project and program team- Effectively manage and control scope whilst ensuring customer requirements are satisfied- Conformance of the project and program work and documents to internal procedures and policy- Use of internal program and project reporting tools, such as Project Space. Emphasizing data accuracy and timely updates- Managing the relationship with the customer and internal teams- Internal and external communication and reporting to external clients as well as to AVEVA executives- Planning work and resources required to complete the Contract- Maintaining and where possible, increasing planned margin for the program- Following and improving the Program/Project delivery process
As a senior position, the following responsibilities are also included:
- Focusing on the strategic business objectives, and ensuring alignment to the program- Illustrate leadership and influence across the organization- Coordinate and collaborate, not just with the project managers but also the enterprise, toward shared goals- Manage high profile customers and complex multi-year, multi-discipline Programs- Prepare data and participate in Executive Steering Committee meetings conducted with clients and/or AVEVA Executives as required- Drive to the strategic plan while balancing against day-to-day realities- Operationalizing strategic initiatives across the organization and bridge silos. Dealing with multiple departments, multiple products and multiple team members- Seeing the bigger picture. Programs are tied to strategic goals and are funded to create value which needs to be measured through the life of the program- Must have a Passion for collaboration. Must be exceptional in communicating, collaborating, and coordinating cross-functionally throughout the organization- Mentor and coach Project Managers and Project Leaders in all aspects of Project Management and Project Execution life-cycle- Participate in and support the Front Office organization for sales and future contract pursuits
Core Competencies:
- Project and Program structure definition for budget, schedule and resources- Leveraging project and program management practices is necessary to execute and realize strategy- Project and Program risk analysis and mitigation planning- Project and Program planning, coordination, communication and reporting- Client and team relationship management- Midstream and Pipeline business and operation knowledge
