**SUMMARY**

The Events Server is responsible for all things guest service during events. Serve the guests quickly and efficiently with complete knowledge of the events menu. Maintain stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.

**CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival.
- Follow established Ace Hotel service sequence for consistent food & beverage guest experiences.
- Handle payment for guests purchases in compliance with Ace Hotel & PCI and cash handling procedures.
- Properly ring guest orders through the POS system.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Work with a spirit of teamwork. Communicate needs and ideas to leadership.
- Maintain current and accurate knowledge of the menus.
- Follows all safety and sanitation policies.
- Upsell items to guests.
- Properly check all guests’ identification to ensure legal age compliance.
- Perform side work as needed.
- Keep serving stations clean and organized.

- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, leadership, and peers to their understanding.
- Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution.
- Have superb time management skills.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all hotel services/features and hours of operation.
- Other language, mathematical, and reasoning abilities as outlined below.
- Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below.
- Knowledge and understanding of Atelier & Ace Culture & initiatives
- Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
- If applicable, must meet any required minimum age to serve alcohol.
- Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.

**REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**

Smart Serve certificate is required. High school diploma required, any college courses in hospitality management or similar is preferred. Minimum 1-year previous experience working as a server in a similar-sized event / catering venue. Additional events or restaurant experience (host, food runner, bus person, etc.) preferred.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour
