Vancouver, Canada MacroHealth Full time

Company Description

The U.S. healthcare sector is complex and dynamic - a vast and diverse network of entities that impacts the population and economy like no other. At USD$4.1 trillion, healthcare spending represents nearly 18% of U.S. GDP. Despite clear changes in available resources, health service buying, selling, and settlements have seen little change in the past decade.

MacroHealth is a company you will be proud to be part of. As a future Macro-mate, you will help us achieve our mission to disrupt the U.S. health sector by building the most advanced and trusted market platform for health service payers and providers.

At MacroHealth, we are creating intelligent Health Markets by building technology, knowledge, and relationships that enable payers and providers to optimize the buying and selling of health services.

We offer our team members an inclusive and supportive environment where we help each other to grow as an individual and as a team.

**Job Description**:
Are you interested in being part of a small team tasked to build the next-generation industry-leading platform for healthcare markets? We are looking for smart, passionate, and highly skilled Release Manager to join the effort to define and build the future of MacroHealth. You will be joining a team that's developing both the engine that drives our platform as well as the infrastructure to run and scale it. The work you’ll do directly impacts the experience of our customers.

As Release Manager, you will define and own the Release Management lifecycle and processes across all the MacroHealth platforms. You have previously held roles as Release Manager, or have had senior roles as an SDET or DevOps Engineer, in a cloud-based enterprise product software company, helping to release products in a CI/CD development environment. Leveraging your extensive experience, you will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and Program and Product Management to build and release our software with a high degree of predictability, stability and quality. You will champion CI/CD processes across the larger MacroHealth engineering organization, and be able to communicate our overall release health to the business.

We are looking for smart, creative, and hardworking individuals who know how to work within a larger team, communicate well, and learn from other engineers. This position requires you to be a detail oriented self-starter, with the ability to take ownership, work with tight timelines, and handle various tasks simultaneously while continuing to develop a positive work culture. You will join a world-renowned leadership team with a track record of leading the development of multiple successful companies and products.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years as a Release Manager for a SaaS based enterprise product, or 5+ years in a senior QA/SDET or DevOps Engineering role, working with a SaaS enterprise product
- Strong understanding of modern CI/CD deployment processes and pipeline technologies that are used in a multi-domain cloud-based environment
- Extensive experience with automated build/deploy processes and tools (such as GitLab, Azure Pipelines, TeamCity, Jenkins) and understanding of how to utilize them in a multi-domain cloud environment
- High degree of comfort working with source control systems (such as GitLab or Github), check-in processes, branching strategies and tags.
- Practical experience working in at least one public cloud ecosystem, and the services that are available within it. We currently use Azure, but experience with AWS or Google is equally valuable.
- Practical knowledge and experience with automated testing frameworks and principles. Ability to oversee test runs and evaluate results
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrable leadership through influence, able to define processes and procedures for the larger engineering teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience

Your background may additionally include:

- Experience working with health-related software, or with companies in the US healthcare industry
