As the **Change & Release Manager**, you will play a pivotal role in planning, scheduling, and coordinating releases and updates to critical IT systems. Your expertise will ensure mínimal disruption to operations while maintaining high system stability and reliability. With a focus on release management, you’ll drive the deployment of software, infrastructure updates, and system enhancements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Manager of Application Integration, this role is critical to our mission of delivering seamless technology solutions that align with organizational goals and stakeholder needs.
**Key Responsibilities include**:
- Release Management:
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to define release scope, set priorities, and manage release schedules
- Plan and coordinate release activities, including risk assessments, resource allocation, and detailed rollout plans
- Monitor the implementation of releases and conduct post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement and success.
- Change Management:
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the change management process based on ITIL principles
- Review and assess change requests, authorizing changes based on established protocols
- Chair the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with changes and releases
- Create and manage the change release schedule, ensuring risks are assessed and stakeholder needs are met
- Process Optimization:
- Analyze metrics, gather feedback, and research industry best practices to drive the continuous improvement of release and change management processes
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes, policies, and procedures to ensure transparency and consistency
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Serve as a central point of contact for release activities, keeping stakeholders informed of schedules, impacts, and progress
- Build and nurture strong relationships with internal teams, vendors, and external partners
- Generate regular reports on release and change management activities, presenting key metrics and insights to senior management
**What You Will Bring**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or a combination of education, training and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT change and release management, with a strong focus on release management
- Deep understanding of the ITIL framework (ITIL Foundations v3 or higher preferred)
- Proven experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools in change and release management
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and the ability to manage complex, multi-release projects
- Exceptional ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple releases with competing priorities
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven leadership skills, including facilitating meetings and driving consensus among diverse groups
- Continuous improvement mindset, with a passion for optimizing processes and tools
**SECURITY REQUIREMENTS**:
As a condition of employment at E-Comm, the required Police Security Clearance applicable to the position must be acquired and maintained. This is a process carried out by our law enforcement partner agencies, facilitated by E-Comm. The minimum residency in Canada to qualify for this position, as established by our law enforcement partner agencies, is 5 years.

**Vaccination Policy**:E-Comm 911 has a vaccination policy that is currently suspended. However, should the policy be reinstated, it will be a requirement for all current and future employees.
