**Job Summary**
Being a front line youth worker for Youth Haven Emergency Shelter you are required to supervise up to 24 youth ages 16-24. You are responsible for the safety and security of the house and occupants. You will abide by Policies and Procedures and Safety Expectations. You will practice de-escalation tactics, support housing focused conversations and offer support to at risk youth, encouraging family reconciliation where appropriate.

**Skills**
- Experience working with people with disabilities is essential for understanding their unique needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for building rapport with children, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to adapt communication styles to meet the diverse needs of individuals.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping youth succeed are critical attributes for this role.
- Organizational skills are important for managing multiple tasks and responsibilities effectively. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals while fostering an inclusive community.

Pay: From $19.35 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 40 per week
